An animatic is like an animated storyboard, mostly used to help filmmakers envision the pacing of a scene before loading up the camera and getting the actors together. It can also be a great way to pitch a movie, because you’re not just describing it to the evil Hollywood exec, but you can also show them just how it would look like.
