Honestly, the best thing to have happened to the Command and Conquer franchise since its inception was Generals and its Zero-Hour expansion pack. I have not enjoyed any RTS as much as that one!
Now the sequel is here, made by revered studio Bioware, and it looks awesome.
Update: Now that my nerd-gasm has died down a little, there’s some stuff bugging me, like what was that about being free to play? Is that a good thing? Does it mean you have to pay money to get better tanks?
And come to think of it, Free to play kinda suggests a multiplayer-only experience… which is bad news for anti-social sore losers like me. Checking out the FAQ on the site confirms this… there’s no single player campaign at launch!
I’m going to guess that you need to rack up an insane amount of XP to unlock perks and units… or you could always just fork over what will eventually amount to the price of a full-game (or more!) and unlock these units before everyone else.
