This morning I saw a friend post up a link that said Michael Clarke Duncan died. That was not something I expected to read this morning at all!
His name is not immediately familiar to casual film-goers but his distinctive large build, jovial face and deep voice should be instantly familiar to anyone that has seen movies like Armageddon, The Green Mile, The Scorpion King, Sin City, and Daredevil.
He was 54, and apparently it was due to a heart attack he had a couple of months back that he never fully recovered from.
I’ve always liked the big guy because of that singing scene in Armageddon, and he will be missed.
