Jeremy Renner might not have gone ballistic with the Bourne movie, but this new Hansel and Gretel movie is likely to help his career regain its stride!
Wifey and I recently finished watching both Grimm and Once Upon a Time, and this already looks like it’s going to be a helluva lot better than both those shows! Both Renner and Gemma Arterton look great as the eponymous siblings, and those witches look fun too.
It’s so strange, because it’s got a medieval vibe, yet it also packs shotguns and miniguns. I think it looks good, but there’s also a high chance it could be utter crap like Van Helsing.
What do you guys think?
Cool witch-hunters never face explosions
Hansel is gonna pop a cap in your candy house!
I saw a trailer over at 1 Book 1 Movie today and it looked terrific! It’s a movie called Robot & Frank and it looks like a real charmer about an old technophobe who starts to develop a friendship with a robot helper.
I’ve always been fascinated by these stories, so it’s looking like a real winner to me. It’s like Terminator 2 mixed with Lars & the Real Girl, with just a little bit of Bicentennial Man thrown in.
I wonder if this one is coming to Singapore…
One thing I learned from watching all the behind the scenes stuff on the Harry Potter blu-rays is that Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, seems like a really cool young kid. He might play a complete jerk in the movie, but in real life he’s totally different.
Which is why it’s exciting to see him appearing in more movies in very un-Draco roles. First up, The Apparition.
One problem though… ghost movies scare me shitless, and this one looks to have its premise based on the darkest depths of my fears… even if they star the amazingly hot Ashley Greene.
Hot, but not enticing enough to make me watch a scary ghost movie
After the success of Bridesmaids, it’s not at all surprising that they’ll wanna make more movies with a funny female ensemble cast. But you know what? Bring it on!
What’s amazing about this film, isn’t Isla Fisher’s tits, the awesomeness of Lizzy Caplan and Adam Scott getting together again after their stint in Party Down, or the fact that James Marsden is in it (because as you know, he’s so completely underrated).
What’s amazing is that it’s a movie starring Kirsten Dunst that I actually want to watch.
Isla Fisher, Kiki Dunst and Lizzy Caplan in The Bachelorette
One thing Americans and people who live close enough to the US can feel lucky for is Comic Con. This convention is like all kinds of awesome for geeks like me, but sadly I’ve never been to one due to a slight case of being on the other side of the world.
Anyway, Morgan Spurlock, the guy who ate nothing but McDonald’s for a month, is going to release another documentary about a bunch of geeks making their way to Comic Con. I guess short of moving to the US or saving my ass off for a plane ticket, this will as close as I’ll get to it.
Check out the trailer for Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope!
Do you go to Comic Con much? If not, would you want to?
